boyds-of-texas-high-desert-sample
Boyd's of Texas High Desert Sample

This is Boyd's of Texas High Desert, a perfume by Boyd's of Texas, offered here as a sample. A note pyramid is not on file here, so this page makes no claims about how it should come across. Trying it as a sample first means your decision rests on wearing it, not on a description. A paper strip shows the outline, skin shows the detail.

What we know and do not know

We have the name and the house of High Desert, not its notes. Instead of copying a list from somewhere, we leave that part empty. Write down what you notice after a few minutes and again after lunch, and you will see how it moves. Warm skin and cool skin can bring out different sides, so try both if you can.

Listed on request

High Desert is not on the shelf as a sample yet. Leave your e-mail address in the form on this page and we know someone is waiting for it. When it can be filled, the sizes appear here. Do not judge it next to other perfumes on the same arm, as they blur each other.

What a decant is

The sample is made by hand: Boyd's of Texas High Desert goes from the original bottle into a glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml, which we then label. Glass does not react with perfume, so what you smell is the perfume itself. Three sizes mean you decide how long you want to test.

How to test it

There is no recorded season for High Desert. Begin on an ordinary day and take it from there. Test it on skin and not only on paper. Leave other perfumes off that day, so nothing interferes. Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather.

Who it is for

For Boyd's of Texas High Desert no target wearer is recorded here. Anyone who reacts strongly to certain notes is wise to test on skin first. If you are choosing a gift, testing it yourself first tells you what you are giving.

Why try Boyd's of Texas High Desert as a sample first

Descriptions and reviews tell you how High Desert wears on other people; only a sample tells you how it wears on you. What you get is a decant made by FragranceGems from the original bottle, with our label. The house is not involved and it is not an official brand sample.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Boyd's of Texas High Desert and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.

Why does this page list no notes?
No note list is on record with us for Boyd's of Texas High Desert, and we only print notes we can trace to a source. The sample lets you judge the perfume without a list.

Will High Desert be the same on me as on someone else?
Probably not exactly. Skin, weather and the amount you apply all change how a perfume comes across, which is the reason to wear Boyd's of Texas High Desert yourself before deciding.
