Its listing names Amber, Jasmine, Musk, Powdery notes and Tonka bean. Trying it as a sample first means your decision rests on wearing it, not on a description. A paper strip shows the outline, skin shows the detail. Clothes hold a scent differently from skin, which makes a scarf or sleeve a useful second test.

Fragrance notes

Amber, Jasmine, Musk, Powdery notes, Tonka bean

Notes, as recorded

Amber, Jasmine, Musk, Powdery notes and Tonka bean: that is the note list FragranceGems holds for Dkhoon Emirates Special Musk. It comes as one flat list, so which note leads and which one stays is for your skin to show. Notes on a list are a map, and what you notice on your own skin is the territory.

The broad direction

FragranceGems files Special Musk under these scent families: amber and floral. A family is a broad direction, not a promise, so use it to decide whether the sample is worth your time. The recorded strength is light. What reads as sweet on one person can read as dry on another.

How the sample is made

Dkhoon Emirates Special Musk comes as 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle. It is labelled by us and not by the brand. A spray vial lets you apply it the way you would from the bottle, which a dab-on tube does not.

How to test it

For Special Musk, FragranceGems names spring and autumn as the fitting time of year. The occasions on record: everyday wear and special occasions. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week.

Who it is for

FragranceGems lists Dkhoon Emirates Special Musk for everyone (unisex). It is for the careful chooser and for the curious one. If Dkhoon Emirates is new to you, a small vial is a calm way to get acquainted. People who tire of scents quickly do well with small sizes.

Why try Dkhoon Emirates Special Musk as a sample first

The same perfume can be a favourite on one person and a miss on the next, which is the whole case for testing Special Musk first. It is our own decant from the original bottle, labelled by us. This is not an official brand sample and the house is not involved. Should it turn out to be yours, the full bottle is in the FragranceGems range.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Dkhoon Emirates Special Musk and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.

When does Special Musk fit best?
FragranceGems lists it for spring and autumn. That is a guide, not a rule: with a decant you can try it in other weather and see whether it still works for you.

Can I try Special Musk next to other samples?
Yes, and it helps. Wear one perfume per day, or one per arm at most, so the scents do not blur. Short notes after each wearing make the choice easier.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0782/5938/8570/files/dkhoon-emirates-special-musk-sample.jpg?v=1791502743
