houbigant-ambre-des-abysses-sample
Houbigant Ambre des Abysses Sample

Ambre des Abysses is a perfume from Houbigant. We do not have its notes on record, which is one more reason to let your own nose decide. Skin, weather and habit change how any perfume comes across, and a sample shows you your version of it. Your own nose gets used to a scent quickly, so ask someone near you what they notice.

An honest gap

Our record for Ambre des Abysses stops at brand and name. Notes, families and seasons are left out here because we cannot verify them. Wear it on more than one day before you make up your mind. Try it on a normal day, not only on a special one, to see whether it fits your routine.

Before it can be filled

On request means we do not have Houbigant Ambre des Abysses ready to decant at this moment. Your message through the form on this page tells us there is interest; we promise no date. Clothes hold a scent differently from skin, which makes a scarf or sleeve a useful second test.

How the sample is made

Houbigant Ambre des Abysses comes as 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle. It is labelled by us and not by the brand. A spray vial lets you apply it the way you would from the bottle, which a dab-on tube does not.

How to test it

No season or occasion is on record for Ambre des Abysses, so let your own days decide. Spray it on the inside of your wrist or elbow and do not rub. Use it the way you would use a full bottle, on a normal day. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week.

Who it is for

Our record does not say for whom Houbigant Ambre des Abysses was made. It also works for anyone who wants a small vial for travel or a bag. If you already know the house, a decant lets you check whether this one fits next to what you own.

Why try Houbigant Ambre des Abysses as a sample first

The same perfume can be a favourite on one person and a miss on the next, which is the whole case for testing Ambre des Abysses first. It is our own decant from the original bottle, labelled by us. This is not an official brand sample and the house is not involved.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Houbigant Ambre des Abysses and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.

Why does this page list no notes?
No note list is on record with us for Houbigant Ambre des Abysses, and we only print notes we can trace to a source. The sample lets you judge the perfume without a list.

How do I test Ambre des Abysses properly?
Spray it on clean skin, do not rub, and check it after a few minutes, at midday and in the evening. Repeat that on a few different days before you decide about a bottle.
