reef-pure-musk-sample
Reef Pure Musk Sample

Pure Musk is a perfume from Reef. FragranceGems lists these notes for it: Musk and Powdery notes. A sample is the sensible first step: a perfume on paper and a perfume on skin are rarely the same thing. What reads as sweet on one person can read as dry on another. Wear it on more than one day before you make up your mind.

Fragrance notes

Musk, Powdery notes

The notes on record

The recorded notes of Reef Pure Musk are Musk and Powdery notes. Nothing on record says which of them opens, so we do not claim it. Try it on a normal day, not only on a special one, to see whether it fits your routine. The opening is the loudest part and the shortest, so let it pass before deciding.

Its family

By family, Reef Pure Musk is tagged as floral and gourmand. That tells you roughly which shelf it belongs on, and the decant tells you the rest. The recorded strength is light. Do not judge it next to other perfumes on the same arm, as they blur each other.

About the decant

What you get is Pure Musk in a glass spray vial, 2, 5 or 10 ml, decanted by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us. Pick the small vial if you only want to know whether you like it, and a larger one if you want to live with it for a while.

How to test it

Spring and summer: that is the season on record for Reef Pure Musk. Weather changes how a perfume carries, so test it in the conditions you plan to wear it in. The occasions on record: everyday wear. Wear it on at least three different days before you decide.

Who it is for

Reef Pure Musk is tagged for everyone (unisex). Collectors use decants to explore widely without filling a shelf. It also works for anyone who wants a small vial for travel or a bag. If Reef is new to you, a small vial is a calm way to get acquainted.

Why try Reef Pure Musk as a sample first

Choosing a bottle unsmelled is a gamble, and a decant takes the gamble out of it. The decant is filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us. Reef is not involved, and it is not an official brand sample. If it suits you, FragranceGems sells the full bottle.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Reef Pure Musk and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.

Why are the notes not split into top, heart and base?
Because the record for Reef Pure Musk gives one flat list: Musk and Powdery notes. We print notes exactly as recorded and never sort them into a pyramid ourselves.

Will Pure Musk be the same on me as on someone else?
Probably not exactly. Skin, weather and the amount you apply all change how a perfume comes across, which is the reason to wear Reef Pure Musk yourself before deciding.
