A note pyramid is not on file here, so this page makes no claims about how it should come across. A decant gives you time with it, which a quick spray on a paper strip never does. What reads as sweet on one person can read as dry on another.

What we know and do not know

No note list is on record for The Unleashed Apothecary Afrikaan Musk; wear it and judge. We would rather give you a clean sample than a description we cannot stand behind. The opening is the loudest part and the shortest, so let it pass before deciding.

Before it can be filled

The Unleashed Apothecary Afrikaan Musk has the status on request. The page is here so you can tell us you are interested; the sizes open up once we can fill the sample. We make no promise about timing. Pay attention to what is still there by the evening, since that is the part you live with longest.

Small size, same perfume

A decant is perfume poured over from the original bottle into a smaller one. For Afrikaan Musk that means a glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml with our label on it. Pick the small vial if you only want to know whether you like it, and a larger one if you want to live with it for a while.

How to test it

When to wear Afrikaan Musk is not on record with us; test it on the kind of day you would actually wear it. Test it on skin and not only on paper. Apply one or two sprays to clean skin, without other scented products nearby.

Who it is for

Whether The Unleashed Apothecary Afrikaan Musk is marketed to men, women or everyone is not in our record; wear it if you enjoy it. Collectors use decants to explore widely without filling a shelf. Anyone who reacts strongly to certain notes is wise to test on skin first.

Why try The Unleashed Apothecary Afrikaan Musk as a sample first

The same perfume can be a favourite on one person and a miss on the next, which is the whole case for testing Afrikaan Musk first. We decant from the original bottle and label the vial ourselves. The Unleashed Apothecary does not make or endorse these samples; it is not an official brand sample.

Frequently asked questions

What does the sample look like?
It is a small glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml with our own label on it. It sprays like a bottle, so you apply Afrikaan Musk the way you normally would.

Why does this page list no notes?
No note list is on record with us for The Unleashed Apothecary Afrikaan Musk, and we only print notes we can trace to a source. The sample lets you judge the perfume without a list.

How should I keep the vial?
Closed, upright if possible, and away from heat and direct sunlight, the same way you would keep a full bottle. That keeps Afrikaan Musk as it was when we filled it.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0782/5938/8570/files/the-unleashed-apothecary-afrikaan-musk-sample.jpg?v=1791508782
