Four samples that map the house
Couleur Primaire is the signature: aldehydes and pear over jasmine, peony and rose, on white musks and ambroxan. Ambre Superfluide is winter by the fire, honey, apple and cinnamon over rose and cardamom, with amber, black vanilla, tobacco and rum below. Ambre Supermassive, an Extrait de Parfum, brings peach, heliotrope and saffron to amber. Vanille Supermassive sets cinnamon, fir balsam and labdanum over patchouli, vanilla and caramel.
Superfluide, Supercritique, Supermassive
Superfluide is the range of spices, resins and precious woods: Musk Superfluide is an icy white musk with aldehydes, neroli and iris, Santal Superfluide wraps plum and violet around Australian sandalwood, Oud Superfluide pairs Laos oud with bitter orange, vanilla and benzoin. Supercritique is about flowers; Rose Supercritique dresses rose in pink berries, cardamom, myrrh and incense. Supermassive holds only extraits.
Made on an estate near Arras
Jules Verne supplied the name: in Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea the primordial waters are the first signs of life. Poulain designs the fragrances with Amélie Bourgeois, his mentor and technical partner. Finished compositions mature in stainless-steel vats, with classical music tuned to 432 Hz playing, before bottling. Our decants are filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us; they are not official brand samples.
