According to Fragrance World, French Avenue grew out of its founder's travels to Paris and the wish to capture the city's elegance and love of perfumery. The brand is aimed at a young, international audience and speaks of niche blends made with modern technology. The names on FragranceGems' list hint at small families inside the range: Liquid Brun, Zenith and Aromatix each appear more than once.

Sweet, cool and woody

French Avenue Vulcan Feu opens with mango, lemon, ginger and rhubarb, turns to pink pepper, jasmine, violet and praline and ends on tonka, cedar, ambergris and moss. French Avenue Liquid Brun is darker: cinnamon, orange blossom, cardamom and bergamot over bourbon vanilla and elemi, with praline, ambroxan, guaiac wood and musk underneath. French Avenue Aromatix Platine Blanc goes the other way, with mint, lime, tonic and lemon over rosemary, blackcurrant and jasmine.

What is the difference between Liquid Brun and Liquid Brun Limited Edition?
