About DecantGems

DecantGems is where FragranceGems sells perfume samples: small glass spray vials that we fill ourselves from the original bottle, so you can wear a perfume for a few days before you decide on a full bottle. This page explains who we are, why samples have a shop of their own and what you can expect from us.

Who is behind DecantGems

DecantGems is the sample department of FragranceGems B.V., a Dutch company based in Zoetermeer. It is not a separate business: the people, the address and the company registration are those of FragranceGems B.V. That is why the FragranceGems name sits next to ours in the header. You see at a glance who you are buying from.

FragranceGems has been online since October 2025 as a webshop for Arabian perfumes. Since then more than ten thousand orders have been placed there, by customers in the Netherlands, Germany and other countries of the European Union. NicheGems, the niche perfume department, followed. DecantGems is run by the same company and the same team.

DecantGems itself is new, so the customer reviews on this site are, for now, reviews of FragranceGems.

Why samples

A paper strip shows you the opening of a perfume. Your skin, over a day, shows you the rest: how the heart develops, what the base settles into and whether you still like it in the evening. A sample gives you that time without the cost of a full bottle, and it lets you compare two or three perfumes in the same week.

That is what this shop is for. Each perfume has a page that says what it is: the house, the concentration, the published notes and how it develops on skin. The sample itself is our decant of that perfume, nothing more and nothing less.

How we work

• Filled from the original bottle. Every sample is filled by FragranceGems from a bottle of the perfume named on the label. Nothing is diluted, mixed or added.
• Labelled by us. The vial carries our own label with the house, the perfume name and the size. It is not an official brand sample, the houses are not involved in filling it, and the trademarks belong to their owners.
• No box, no original flacon. A decant is the perfume in a plain glass spray vial. You do not receive the brand's bottle or its packaging.
• Facts with a source. The notes on a sample page are the notes published for that exact perfume and concentration, by the house itself wherever it gives them. If there is no reliable source, we leave the notes out rather than guess.
• Honest wording. We do not call a perfume a copy of another, and we do not promise how long it lasts on you. How a perfume behaves on your skin is what the sample is for.
