Opening: grapefruit
The first thing you meet is grapefruit, and nothing else sits beside it in the pyramid. Expect a juicy, slightly bitter brightness with no added sweetness. On the wrist it should arrive as a clean glow rather than a sharp citrus burst, which is the effect the house describes.

Heart: ambroxan
Ambroxan takes the place of the citrus in the middle. It is a smooth, faintly mineral note that gives the fruit a calm surface to settle on and softens the brightness. From here the perfume starts to feel like skin, so judge it once the opening has faded, not in the first minute.

Drydown: woody notes

Is it a heavy perfume?
No. Although it is an Extrait de Parfum, the composition is light and clean, built on only three notes. That is exactly why it is worth testing on your own skin before you decide on a full bottle.
Which notes will I notice?
Grapefruit first, then ambroxan, ending in woody notes. The brand lists nothing else, so there is no hidden sweet layer to wait for. What changes is mostly how close or how open it feels.

About Al Ambra
Al Ambra is a Dubai house, founded in 2016, that develops and produces its perfumes in its own workshop at Dubai Investment Park. Everything we decant from it is an Extrait de Parfum made with warm climates in mind: smooth, oil-rich textures that stay close to the skin rather than filling a room. Three or four samples show the range, from a clean musk to a sugared vanilla, before you commit to a bottle.
