Parisian Musc, from Matière Première, builds a fluid, minimal, urban Eau de Parfum on ambrette seed from Peru, which the brand calls the only plant-based natural musk. A seed that smells of skin
The seed supplies a soft, faintly fruity musk that is warm like skin and fully plant-based. Ambrettolide, an aroma molecule the brand names, stretches the musky quality, so the seed can carry the whole perfume. On your skin, this is the layer to study first.

Cedar, ambroxan, fig leaf
Virginia cedar adds dry, pencil-clean wood. Ambroxan, a second named aroma molecule, joins wood and musk into one soft surface. The fig leaf brings a green touch, the leaf and sap of the tree rather than its fruit. Together they keep the musk from sitting too soft.

What is ambrette seed?
The seed of a plant, with a musky aroma. The brand calls it the only plant-based natural musk, and here it is the Peruvian centrepiece of the perfume.
Why are the notes a single list?
Matière Première lists five materials without splitting them into levels. We follow that and show one list, so nothing is moved or invented.
Is it a good one for an office test?
It is a calm, close perfume, so the decant is easy to test among other people. Wear it for a working day and see whether it stays pleasantly present for you.

About Matière Première
Matière Première is the house of one perfumer, Aurélien Guichard, and of one rule: each perfume is built around an overdose of a single natural raw material, named on its page. Finnish birch tar, Greek saffron, Omani incense, a rose he grows himself in Grasse. The project began with the first fields he planted in 2016. A material in overdose is either exactly your thing or not at all, so test it as a 10 ml decant before you commit.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
