Omani incense
Incense oil from Oman is the central material and sets a dry, smoky-resinous tone. Expect a dark rather than airy kind of incense, closer to a stone building than to a sweet stick. Everything else on the list exists to warm and deepen it.

Labdanum and benzoin
Two resins sit beside it. Labdanum has a leathery, ambery darkness and benzoin a balsamic, vanillic warmth, and between them they soften the smoke into something skin-like. The brand speaks of the sensual side of the incense, and this is where it shows.

About Matière Première
Matière Première is the house of one perfumer, Aurélien Guichard, and of one rule: each perfume is built around an overdose of a single natural raw material, named on its page. Finnish birch tar, Greek saffron, Omani incense, a rose he grows himself in Grasse. The project began with the first fields he planted in 2016. A material in overdose is either exactly your thing or not at all, so test it as a 10 ml decant before you commit.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
