Pernoire is a young Swiss house: two childhood friends, Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino, founded it in 2020 and develop every composition with the perfumer Andreas Wilhelm. Each perfume is an Extrait de Parfum, at 25% in the Anima line or 30% in Odus, and each is named after an idea or its key notes: Anelo for pineapple and pomelo, Poka for popcorn and caramel. At these concentrations a few wearings from a 10 ml decant tell you whether a perfume is yours.

About Pernoire
Four Pernoire samples to start with
Anelo is freshly sliced pineapple, pomelo and mandarin over mango, ginger and magnolia, on dry amber and vetiver. Amoral is its smoky opposite, key lime, black tea and smoked prunes over violet, iris, oud and cypriol. Poka began as a dessert made with a confectioner: caramel popcorn, apple pie and roasted hazelnut on vanilla and tonka bean. Naki, whose name means pure in Arabic, pairs peach and almond blossom with fig leaves and white musk.
From alpine mint to durian
Yuma, named after yuzu and mint, opens with Swiss mint, peppermint and bergamot over an alpine breeze accord. Vitias is a first kiss by the sea, bergamot, lime and pepper with iris and marine notes. Otimo warms quince, cardamom and rum with tobacco and praline; Kama sets blackberries and cotton candy against birch tar and leather. Oudian joins oud and durian with saffron and Szechuan pepper, and Luvani is moonflower, tuberose and vanilla.
Two friends, one perfumer
Pernoire AG is registered in Basel and its product pages say Swiss made. Robin Dünner looks after creative direction, Nico Mannino after strategy; ideas come from a feeling or a memory, not from a trend. Every flacon carries a line illustration: a lotus for Naki, a phoenix for Otimo, a bow and arrow for Kama. Our decants are filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us; they are not official brand samples.

Which Pernoire sample should I try first?
Anelo is the most popular in our data and the easy one: pineapple, pomelo and mango on dry woods. Amoral is the choice if you like smoke, spice and oud, Poka if you like gourmands, Naki for a soft fruity floral. Those four barely overlap.
What do Anima and Odus mean?
They are the two lines of the house. Both are Extrait de Parfum; the brand states 25% concentration for Anima and 30% for Odus, to which Oudian belongs. In the brand's photos the Anima flacons are black and the Odus flacons white.
Are Pernoire perfumes unisex?
Yes, all ten perfumes we decant are listed as unisex. The range runs from fresh, Yuma and Vitias, through fruity and floral, Anelo, Naki and Luvani, to dark and sweet, Amoral, Kama and Oudian, so taste is the only filter you need.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again. Only thing I hope is that you guys would negotiate better price for GLS shipping to Finland. But I know that is not always possible. And I noticed the prices were lower than the competitors so the steep shipping price was not that big of a deal. Good job all in all.
