About Velixir

Indonesian, new and ambitious

On its own site Velixir calls craftsmanship and quality the definition of perfumery and reports more than 170 retail points in Indonesia and a presence in over ten countries, all within a year of its founding. The line is Eau de Parfum throughout. The names come from Greek mythology, which gives the collection a theme without telling you how a perfume smells; that part you find out on your wrist.

What the house is like on skin

Across the perfumes FragranceGems carries, citrus runs through most of the openings, often with a fruit next to it, and the bases lean on musk, woods or amber. Velixir Icarus pairs pear, Calabrian bergamot and mandarin with orange blossom, Georgywood and ginger over musk. Velixir Uranus is the spicier one: Sicilian orange and bergamot over pink pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and neroli, with vetiver underneath. Velixir Concordia keeps it simple with bergamot and grapefruit.

Velixir Asteria puts blood orange, mandarin, bergamot and lemon over Tahitian tiaré and sandalwood. Velixir Aphrodite is the floral gourmand: bergamot, lychee and ginger over peony, rose and cocoa, with patchouli in the base. Velixir Harmonia rounds it off as a light citrus floral for warm days.
