Pear takes the edge off the citrus
Pear, Calabrian Bergamot and Mandarin make up the top. The juicy pear softens the citrus and gives it a rounder surface than a bergamot-only opening would have. Notice whether the pear comes across as fruit or only as freshness on your skin.

Orange blossom, Georgywood and ginger
The heart combines Orange Blossom, Georgywood and Ginger. The white flower is soft, ginger adds a bright, spicy lift, and Georgywood brings a tight, woody neatness. Here the fruit gives way to structure, and here you learn whether the woody side suits you.

Akigalawood, Ambrofix and cedar
The base is Musk, Ambrofix™, Akigalawood and Cedar. Akigalawood is a peppery wood, Ambrofix™ adds an amber-woody effect and cedar keeps things dry, with musk underneath. Judge in this late stage whether the finish is dry and woody or soft and skin-close.

How to test it
Wear it on an ordinary day, at work or out, and pay attention to three moments: the pear-and-citrus start, the ginger in the middle and the woods at the end. Wear it at least twice, on a warm and on a cooler day, to see whether the balance shifts with the weather.

Icarus is for people who like fresh, woody perfumes with a fruity first impression and want one scent for several seasons. Daily, evening and work are its tags at FragranceGems. If you look for something sweet or heavy, check with the sample whether this lighter, drier profile is enough.

Is Icarus a summer perfume?
The citrus and pear start suits warm days, but the wood and musk in the base make it usable in other seasons too. FragranceGems tags it for several seasons; the decant lets you decide.
What do Georgywood and Akigalawood add?
Both are woody ingredients in the recorded pyramid, one in the heart and one in the base. They give the composition a dry, modern wood character beyond the cedar. See whether you like that clean wood on your skin.
How should I apply the decant?
Spray on clean skin, such as the inside of the wrists, from a short distance and let it dry without rubbing. Rubbing can change the opening. Smell it after a few minutes and again later.

About Velixir
Velixir is a young perfume house from Indonesia, founded in 2025, that says it wants to "redefine accessible luxury in modern perfumery" and bring Indonesian perfumery to a global stage. The perfumes are Eau de Parfum and carry names from mythology: Icarus, Asteria, Aphrodite, Persephone, Poseidon. Because the range is wide and the names say little about the scent, a few samples side by side are the quickest way in.
