Raspberry
Raspberry is the whole top of the record. It is a juicy, sweet and slightly tart fruit that gives a lively, playful start. Spray the decant once and notice how sweet or fresh the raspberry feels on your skin, since it is the only top note and sets the mood.

Peony and magnolia
In the heart the record lists peony and magnolia. Peony is soft, rosy and velvety, and magnolia adds a creamy, slightly lemony floral shade. This is the stage where the fruity opening becomes properly floral, so give it time before you judge.

Who made the Selene decant?
We did: FragranceGems fills a glass spray vial from its own Velixir bottle and adds the label. Velixir is a FragranceGems house, so there is no outside brand behind this sample.
Is rose geranium the same as rose?
No. Rose geranium comes from a geranium plant and smells green, rosy and slightly minty. In Selene it sits in the base next to jasmine sambac, and it is listed separately from any rose.
Is Selene very sweet?
Raspberry gives a sweet, fruity start, but peony, magnolia and rose geranium keep the scent floral and green. The intensity tag at FragranceGems is moderate. The sample shows how sweet it feels on you.

About Velixir
Velixir is a young perfume house from Indonesia, founded in 2025, that says it wants to "redefine accessible luxury in modern perfumery" and bring Indonesian perfumery to a global stage. The perfumes are Eau de Parfum and carry names from mythology: Icarus, Asteria, Aphrodite, Persephone, Poseidon. Because the range is wide and the names say little about the scent, a few samples side by side are the quickest way in.
