The heart holds Bourbon Vanilla and Elemi. Bourbon vanilla is rich and creamy, while elemi, a resin, adds a lighter, drier counterpoint. With only two notes in this stage, the contrast between sweet and resin is easy to follow, and so is the moment the spice from the top fades away.
