Saffron, bergamot, elemi
The opening is described as luxurious and spiced. Saffron gives the rich, slightly leathery warmth, and FragranceGems says it pairs well with fresh bergamot. Elemi is a light, peppery resin that sits between the two. Smell your wrist straight away; this stage is quick.

Oud, Bulgarian rose, lily of the valley
The heart is deep and floral. FragranceGems calls rose with oud a classic Eastern pair, while lily of the valley adds a surprising, elegant balance. Oud can smell dark and sharp to some noses, so this is the stage that tells you whether the scent is yours.
