An idea, not a recipe
Orto Parisi gives the sea as its whole brief, with no pyramid and no list of ingredients, and we follow that restraint. What we can offer is the concept, a depth that is left unexplained on purpose, and a way to approach it with an open mind.

The cap tells the story
The brand describes the cap as silver-coloured metal, tumbled and tinged green by corrosion, as though the sea had been at it, with a seashell from Haiti set into it. It is a tactile hint at the theme, and it says nothing about the scent itself.

Learn it on skin
When the composition is undisclosed, a paper strip tells you little. Apply it once to skin, let the first impression pass, and return to it later without rushing. As a Parfum it is rich, so give it time, and wear it again on a second day before you decide.

Orto Parisi does not publish them, and neither do we. The brand says its perfumer does not reveal the notes of his creations, so the smell is yours to discover.
Is the decant from the original bottle?
Yes. We pour 10 ml from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and label it. It is a decant, not an Orto Parisi sample, and we are not affiliated with the brand.
How do I judge a perfume without notes?
Wear it on skin rather than paper, wait for the first impression to pass, and test it on several days. A 10 ml decant gives you room to do that properly.
What concentration is Megamare?
It is a Parfum, which is among the richest formats, so a light hand is sensible until you know how it behaves.

About Orto Parisi
Orto Parisi is named after a garden: that of Vincenzo Parisi, grandfather of the perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, which the brand says gave rise to the project. From there comes the manifesto of the house, the body as a garden whose smells mirror the soul. The Nose, as Gualtieri signs, does not reveal his notes, so each Parfum comes with a short text and nothing more. To know Megamare or Terroni you have to wear it, and a 10 ml decant lets you.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
