About Gissah

Gissah says each scent is designed "to evoke emotions, infuse meaning, and transform ephemeral moments into cherished memories", and calls itself more than a fragrance brand, with roots in Kuwait and an eye on the wider region. The lines are the Signature Line, the Luxury Line and the Musk Collection, plus hair and body mists and home fragrance. FragranceGems adds the exclusive look of the bottles and the warm, oriental character of the perfumes.

Two valleys

Gissah La Luna Valley opens with incense, raspberry and apricot, turns to guaiac wood, cotton candy and sandalwood and ends on amber, patchouli and tonka; FragranceGems files it as gourmand, oriental and woody. Gissah Imperial Valley is the darker one: Sicilian bergamot, pink pepper and davana over oud, white amber and rosemary, on leather, musk and vetiver. Both are unisex and made for autumn and winter.

Where to start

Take both. Gissah La Luna Valley shows the sweet, smoky side of the house, with incense against cotton candy; Gissah Imperial Valley shows the leathery oud side. Wear them on separate days and give each the whole day: the incense of La Luna and the oud of Imperial change more than most notes between morning and evening.

Gissah La Luna Valley if you like sweet and smoky, incense with raspberry and cotton candy. Gissah Imperial Valley if you prefer oud, leather and pink pepper. They are two sides of the same house, so a pair makes sense.

Are Gissah perfumes unisex?

FragranceGems lists both La Luna Valley and Imperial Valley as unisex. The sweet smoke of La Luna and the leathery oud of Imperial read differently on each skin, which is what the sample is for.
