Start with one spray
Put one spray on clean skin, on the wrist or the inside of the elbow, and smell it straight away. The very first seconds are rarely the full picture, so write down what you notice and then leave it alone for a few minutes. Our records give you no list to hold it against, which makes your notes the only reference.

Let it move
As the opening calms, the real character appears. Notice whether it turns sweeter, drier, greener or smokier, and whether it stays close to the skin or reaches out. Answers like these tell you more than a note list would, and without a pyramid on file they are yours to find.

Come back later
Go back to it at the end of an ordinary day, when you have stopped paying attention. If you still enjoy what you smell, the perfume has passed the test that matters. If it has turned into something you do not like, you have found out with a small decant instead of a full bottle.

How to test it
Use it on two different occasions: a working day and a quieter evening. Keep other fragrances away from your skin and your clothes beforehand, so the comparison is fair. Write down the weather and what you wore, because both colour a perfume, and keep the vial out of light and heat between trials.
Who it is for
Anyone curious about Nusuk and willing to decide from experience instead of description. It also suits people who like to discover a perfume without expectations. If you prefer to read a pyramid before you try something, this page cannot supply one, and you may want a different sample.
Why try Nusuk Gladius as a sample first
No notes, concentration or description are on record for Gladius, and we prefer saying so to making something up. A decant lets you answer the one question that remains, whether you like it on your skin. FragranceGems fills the vial from the original bottle and we label it. Nusuk is not involved, so it is not an official brand sample.

We start with a full bottle of the perfume. Nothing is diluted, mixed or added.

Filled by hand into a clean glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml and closed straight after filling.

Our own label names the brand, the perfume, the concentration and the size.

Why is there no scent description?
We only write what is on record, and for Gladius that is just the name and the house. A description from us would be invented, so we leave it out.
What should I look for when I test it?
The opening, the middle and the late stage on skin. Write one or two words for each, then compare them across two different days.
How big is the vial?
10 ml in a glass spray vial, decanted by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us, which covers several test days.
The brand
About Nusuk
Nusuk is presented on the Riiffs site as a second label of the same house, and FragranceGems describes it as a refined Arabian perfume brand with elegant compositions, from rich oud to delicate florals. Its perfumes in FragranceGems' sample list are Gladius and Sama, both Eau de Parfum. The brand's own site says little yet, so the samples carry the introduction: wear one, then the other, and let the skin do the talking.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
