Sugar, caramel and cookie
The opening is all baking-sheet warmth: brown sugar, caramel and cookie. It is the sweetest moment of the perfume and the one most likely to decide your opinion at first sniff. Leave it a few minutes on skin, because sweetness softens as the other notes arrive.

Vanilla, toffee and amber in the heart
The heart brings vanilla bean, toffee and amber together. Vanilla gives the creamy centre, toffee a slightly sticky richness and amber a warm glow that keeps it from tipping into pure sugar. This is the stage to judge whether the sweetness suits you.

A musky, praline finish
The base lists white musk and a praline filling. Musk keeps the skin close and clean, while praline brings a nutty, rounded sweetness. Together they make a soft finish and a clear change from the sugary opening, which you only see on a longer wear.

Wear Falak on a cool day or evening, because strong sweet perfumes can feel heavy when it is warm. Apply to clean skin, keep it to a light amount and let it settle. Check after a few minutes, again mid-way through the day and once more at bedtime to follow the change from sugar to musk.

Is Falak very sweet?
Its recorded notes are brown sugar, caramel, cookie, vanilla, toffee and praline, so sweetness is the theme. White musk and amber give the base some balance, which you can judge on skin.
Which season suits it?
It is listed for autumn and winter. A cool evening shows it at its best, but the decant also lets you try it on a milder day to see whether it feels too rich.
Can I layer it with another perfume?

Nusuk is presented on the Riiffs site as a second label of the same house, and FragranceGems describes it as a refined Arabian perfume brand with elegant compositions, from rich oud to delicate florals. Among its perfumes in FragranceGems' sample list are Gladius and Sama, both Eau de Parfum. The brand's own site says little yet, so the samples carry the introduction: wear one, then the other, and let the skin do the talking.
