A garden with roots
Viride is tied to a garden growing up from the deepest roots of herbal plants, a place that was planted, fertilised and tended. That gives you a direction without a single named ingredient. It reads as green and herbal in intention, which is as far as the brand goes.

The crown
The figure the brand pictures is a Yemeni man wearing his traditional floral crown. Its words are herbal plants and a floral crown, set against a robust green character. We pass those words on as the brand's own and add no notes of our own.

What are the notes?
Nothing is published; the house keeps the composition private. For Viride the brand offers herbal plants, a floral crown and a robust green character. We list no notes because no source names them.
What is guaiacum?
On the brand's page it is a dense, oily timber from Ecuador used on sailing boats. It is part of the cap on the full bottle, set in tumbled gold, and has no connection to the liquid we decant.
Where does the decant come from?
FragranceGems fills the glass spray vial from the original Viride bottle and sticks on its own label. Orto Parisi is not involved in the filling.

About Orto Parisi
Orto Parisi is named after a garden: that of Vincenzo Parisi, grandfather of the perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, which the brand says gave rise to the project. From there comes the manifesto of the house, the body as a garden whose smells mirror the soul. The Nose, as Gualtieri signs, does not reveal his notes, so each Parfum comes with a short text and nothing more. To know Megamare or Terroni you have to wear it, and a 10 ml decant lets you.
