How to test them
Leave other perfumes off that day, so nothing interferes. Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather. Apply one or two sprays to clean skin, without other scented products nearby. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression.
A sample is the sensible first step: a perfume on paper and a perfume on skin are rarely the same thing. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. With 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial you can find out how it behaves on your skin, at your own pace.
