The selection
Gentleman’s Nod Juniper Reverie
Gentleman’s Nod Juniper Reverie, by Gentleman’s Nod, comes without a recorded note list on our pages. Smell it right after applying and again later in the day, because the first minutes rarely tell the whole story.

Gentleman’s Nod Tusitala
For Gentleman’s Nod Tusitala from Gentleman’s Nod we hold no notes; wear it and judge. What reads as sweet on one person can read as dry on another.

Gentleman’s Nod George
Gentleman’s Nod George is on the list from Gentleman’s Nod. Its notes are not on record here, and we do not guess them. A paper strip shows the outline, skin shows the detail.

Gentleman’s Nod Cosecha Catalana
Gentleman’s Nod also has Gentleman’s Nod Cosecha Catalana. We have no pyramid on file for it. Try it on a normal day, not only on a special one, to see whether it fits your routine.

Gentleman’s Nod Lawman
Gentleman’s Nod Lawman is on the list from Gentleman’s Nod. Its notes are not on record here, and we do not guess them. Clothes hold a scent differently from skin, which makes a scarf or sleeve a useful second test.

Gentleman’s Nod Sidama
Gentleman’s Nod Sidama by Gentleman’s Nod: no note list is on record with us, so the sample page sticks to name and house. Pay attention to what is still there by the evening, since that is the part you live with longest.

Gentleman’s Nod Bluegrass Muse
No notes are on record for Gentleman’s Nod Bluegrass Muse from Gentleman’s Nod; the sample is the way to find out. Your own nose gets used to a scent quickly, so ask someone near you what they notice.

Gentleman’s Nod Ernest
Gentleman’s Nod Ernest by Gentleman’s Nod: no note list is on record with us, so the sample page sticks to name and house. Warm skin and cool skin can bring out different sides, so try both if you can.

Also in this selection: Gentleman’s Nod Musashi, Gentleman’s Nod The Outlaw, Gentleman’s Nod Damascus No. 1, Gentleman’s Nod Calabria, Gentleman’s Nod Jackie, Gentleman’s Nod Passion Poivrée, Gentleman’s Nod Kensei.
How to test them
Start light; you can always add a spray on the next wearing. Wear it on at least three different days before you decide. Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression.
Start with 2, 5 or 10 ml and give it a few days, so that the first impression is not the only one. Keep short notes per perfume; after a week the choice usually makes itself. A sample is the sensible first step: a perfume on paper and a perfume on skin are rarely the same thing.

Questions
How many samples should I try at once?
Two or three is a good number. Wear one per day, on clean skin, and write down what you notice in the morning and in the evening before you move to the next.
Why do some perfumes show no notes?
Because we only print notes we can trace to a source. Where no note list is on record, the page says so and leaves the judging to your own skin.
What is a decant?
Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
