Aphrodite is the Mykonos Extrait de Parfum that opens with jasmine, burnt cinnamon and myrrh, moves into cedarwood, tonka bean and sandalwood, and ends on white musk, tobacco, vanilla and mineral amber. Mykonos is one of FragranceGems' own perfume lines. Burnt spice and white flowers over tobacco make a rich mix, which makes a 10 ml decant the sensible way in.

Jasmine meets burnt cinnamon
Jasmine and burnt cinnamon share the opening, with myrrh adding a dark resin. A floral note against a charred, sweet spice is an unusual start, and it is worth noticing whether the jasmine or the cinnamon leads on your skin.

Woods and tonka in the heart
Cedarwood and sandalwood give the heart a dry and a creamy wood, and tonka bean adds a sweet, almond-like warmth. The heart is where the perfume turns from spicy to woody, so smell your skin again at that point. Take note of which of the two woods stays with you.

White musk, tobacco and vanilla
The base sets white musk and tobacco beside vanilla and mineral amber. Musk keeps things clean, tobacco adds a dry, smoky leaf, vanilla warms it, and the amber lends a faintly stony glow. Judge it late in the evening, when only this base remains.

Built for the world", the perfumes are produced in Indonesia and most of them are Extrait de Parfum, with a few Eau de Parfum. The range in Europe spans six scent families.
