Bergamot and pink pepper
A bright, lightly spicy start: bergamot with pink pepper. FragranceGems calls it clear. This is the part that reads as fresh, before the powder arrives, so smell it straight away and again after a few minutes. The first impression is quick and clean.

Iris and dry amber
Iris and dry amber meet in the heart for a powdery, warm tone. Iris can feel cool and elegant or dry and cosmetic, depending on the wearer. Dry amber is the wording FragranceGems uses, which points to warmth that is not sweet.

Patchouli and heliotrope
The base of patchouli and heliotrope leaves the finish soft and earthy. Heliotrope adds a gentle powder, patchouli the earth. Check this stage late in the day, when the sparkle has gone and the soft powder is what remains.

Wear it on a mild spring or autumn day, once on clean skin, ideally before an ordinary day at the office. Smell it at the start and again when you come home. Powder reacts to clothing and air, so compare a day in a jacket with one in a shirt.

For people who want a quiet, powdery perfume with a clean start for daily wear and work in spring and autumn, unisex and moderate in strength. If you like iris but find it too cold, the amber and patchouli may give it the warmth you were missing.

Is Al Narjis very powdery?
Powder is the declared theme: iris and dry amber in the heart, heliotrope in the base. The bergamot and pink pepper opening keeps the start fresh, so the powder grows rather than hitting at once.
Does the pink pepper make it spicy?
FragranceGems calls the start lightly spicy. The pepper is a top note beside bergamot, so it is mostly a lift at the beginning.
Is it a good office perfume?
FragranceGems tags it for daily wear and work at moderate strength. A sample shows whether the powder stays discreet in a closed room.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
