Strawberry preserve, almond and caramel
The recorded top is strawberry preserve with almond and caramel, so the first impression is sweet and jammy. Strawberry as a preserve is warmer and denser than fresh fruit. Use the first minutes to see whether the sweetness is playful for you or is already more than you want.

Milk and heliotrope
In the heart, milk makes everything creamy and heliotrope adds a powdery, almond-like softness. The sweetness continues but turns smoother. This stage shows the character of the perfume most clearly, a soft dessert accord with no sharp edges, if the recorded notes are anything to go by.

Vanilla and white musk
The base has just two notes, vanilla and white musk. Vanilla keeps the sweetness going while white musk gives it a clean, close finish. Smell your wrist in the evening: if the sweetness still feels pleasant after the opening has faded, it is probably a perfume you can live with.

Put the decant on clean skin on a cool day, since FragranceGems tags it for autumn and winter, and wear it for daily errands, work or an evening. Smell it right away, again when the milk and heliotrope arrive and once more later. Try a second day to see whether the sweetness feels the same.

What is the Pink Drops sample?
The sample is 10 ml of Pink Drops in a glass spray vial, poured by FragranceGems from the original bottle and given our own label. Mykonos is a house of our own at FragranceGems, so this decant comes from our own range.
Is it very sweet?
All the recorded notes lean sweet: strawberry preserve, caramel, milk, vanilla. Almond, heliotrope and white musk soften and clean the edges. The sample shows how the balance falls on you.
Is it a winter perfume?
FragranceGems tags it for autumn and winter, with daily wear, work and evenings. Wearing the decant in cooler weather is the most useful way to judge it.

Mykonos is an Indonesian perfume house with a Mediterranean name. Its motto is "Born in Indonesia. Built for the world", the perfumes are produced in Indonesia and most of them are Extrait de Parfum, with a few Eau de Parfum. The range in Europe spans six scent families. A sample is the easiest way to find out which of those families suits your skin before you choose a 50 ml or 100 ml bottle.
