Rayhaan Valhalla is an Eau de Parfum that opens with cognac, raspberry and liqueur, turns to Bulgarian rose, tonka bean and oakmoss, and ends on sandalwood, oak wood and praline. A boozy fruit top over rose and praline is a rich mix, which is why a 10 ml decant makes more sense than going straight to the 100 ml bottle.

Cognac and raspberry

Cognac, raspberry and liqueur sit together in the top, so expect a warm, berry-sweet opening with a boozy shade rather than a fresh one. Bulgarian rose, tonka bean and oakmoss form the heart. FragranceGems says this combination balances floral elegance, creamy sweetness and an earthy, masculine foundation. The rose is the note to watch, because it decides whether the berries turn romantic or heavy.

Sandalwood, oak wood and praline finish the perfume. FragranceGems describes the dry-down as warm and gourmand, with a deep, robust ending. Is it too sweet?
Raspberry, liqueur and praline all point to sweetness, but oakmoss, oak wood and sandalwood add dry, earthy counterweight. FragranceGems tags it floral, gourmand and woody, so the balance is a matter of skin.
Is the alcohol note strong?
Cognac and liqueur are recorded in the top, and FragranceGems describes the first spray as lightly alcoholic. The word lightly suggests a hint rather than a blast, which the sample lets you check.
Can I wear it in summer?
FragranceGems lists autumn and winter for it, and its notes are warm and rich. You can still try the sample on a mild day to see for yourself, but a cool evening is the likelier setting.
