Cedar opens
Cedar starts the perfume. FragranceGems calls it a soft, woody start that gives the composition character straight away. With no citrus or fruit in front of it, the opening should feel dry and woody from the first moment.

Musk takes over
Musk forms the heart. FragranceGems describes it as a sensual, skin-close transition. This is the stage where the wood fades into something softer and warmer, and where the perfume starts to feel personal, so give this part a few minutes before you decide.

Amber and sandalwood
Amber and sandalwood make the base, described as warm and enveloping. They bring a creamy warmth under the dry cedar and the musk. If you like perfumes that end in a gentle glow rather than a sharp edge, this is the stage that matters.

Does it have a floral note?
None is recorded in the pyramid, although FragranceGems tags the perfume floral and woody. The sample lets you decide whether you notice any floral quality in the musk and amber.
Is it too simple?
Its pyramid is short: one note on top, one in the heart, two in the base. Whether that comes across as clean or as thin is personal, and wearing it over a few days is the best test.
Is it good for the office?
It is listed for work and daily wear, and its recorded notes are soft and woody. Wear the sample for a working day and see how it feels at your desk.
