A fruit stall in the sun
The opening is loud by design: banana, peach, bubblegum and grape arrive at once, sweet and glossy. Nothing about it is subtle, which is the brand's intention. You will meet candy and ripe fruit before any flower appears, so see right away whether that makes you smile or flinch.

Petals around the fruit
The heart is made of tuberose and ylang-ylang, heavy creamy white blossoms, with rose rounding things out and sandalwood smoothing the bouquet. The fruit does not vanish but is wrapped in petals, so the whole feels fuller and less like candy. This is the middle chapter to study.

About Sarah Baker
Sarah Baker Perfumes is run from a studio in East London by two artists, Sarah Baker and Andy Hsu, and it works the way an art project would: every perfume is a collaboration with a different independent perfumer, credited on the bottle, and each is cast as a character in an ongoing fantasy world with its own mini screenplay. Characters this vivid, a vengeful peach, a mermaid's tidepool, a gilded oud, are better met in person. A 10 ml decant is the introduction.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
