Which Pernoire sample to try first
Pernoire is a young Swiss house of Extraits named after an idea or a key note. Eight samples in order of Fragrantica popularity, and a map of the fruit, spice and amber.
Pernoire is a young Swiss house. Two childhood friends, Robin Dünner and Nico Mannino, founded it in 2020 and develop every composition with the perfumer Andreas Wilhelm. An idea starts from a feeling, a memory or curiosity, and they say they follow it regardless of current trends. Each perfume is an Extrait de Parfum, at 25 per cent in the Anima line or 30 per cent in Odus, and each is named after an idea or its key notes. Each carries a line illustration on its flacon. At this concentration and with this much sweetness, spice and fruit, a Pernoire sample shows quickly which of the lines suits you.
Pernoire: eight samples, ordered by popularity
We ordered the samples on our list by the position each perfume holds on the Fragrantica popularity list of the house, as captured by NicheGems on 7 October 2026. Popularity shows how much a perfume is discussed, not how good it is. Notes are given as the house records them.
Anelo (2025, Andreas Wilhelm) is built on freshly sliced pineapple, pomelo and mandarin, with mango, ginger and magnolia, over dry amber, vetiver and patchouli.

Amoral (2022, Andreas Wilhelm) sets your own rules: key lime, black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin and smoked prunes, then violet, iris, oud and cypriol, over orange blossom, sandalwood and tonka.

Poka (2024, Andreas Wilhelm) began as a dessert developed with a confectioner: caramel popcorn, apple pie and cinnamon, then roasted hazelnut, labdanum and dried apricot, over vanilla, musk, tonka bean and cedarwood.

Naki (2023, Andreas Wilhelm) is the counterpart to Amoral, built on openness: aldehyde, peach, almond blossom and passion fruit, then fig leaves, sandalwood and white flowers, over osmanthus, white musk, vanilla and sea breeze.

Yuma (2026, Andreas Wilhelm) is clear alpine air: Swiss mint, peppermint, yuzu and bergamot, then edelweiss, ginger and Cashmeran, over dry amber, vetiver, musk and patchouli.

Otimo (2024, Andreas Wilhelm) is a dark-sweet extrait with a phoenix on the bottle: quince, cardamom and rum, then tobacco, praline, patchouli and tonka, over cedarwood, vanilla and osmanthus.

Kama (2024, Andreas Wilhelm) takes its name from the Sanskrit word for desire: blackberries, birch tar, violet and orris, then cotton candy, leather, cypriol and dry amber, over moss, cashmere wool and musk.

Vitias (2021, Andreas Wilhelm) tells a first kiss by the sea: bergamot, lime and two peppers, then angelica root, iris, blond woods and marine notes, over ambergris and white musk.

Two newer ones complete the ten. Oudian (2025) joins its two central notes, oud and durian, with saffron and Szechuan pepper over leather and vetiver. Luvani (2026) opens like a moonflower at night, with incense, jasmine and tuberose, then hazelnut leaves, vanilla and guaiac wood.
The Pernoire note map
Vetiver sits in Anelo, Yuma and Vitias, and patchouli in Anelo, Yuma and Otimo. Vanilla runs through Poka, Naki and Otimo, tonka through Amoral, Poka and Otimo, and cardamom through Amoral and Otimo. Ginger links Anelo and Yuma, mint opens Yuma, and rum and tobacco belong to Otimo. Oud appears in Amoral and, strongly, in Oudian.
A first order of Anelo, Amoral and Poka covers fruit, smoke and dessert. The fresh ones suit summer and the office, the dark ones the evening, and how to test perfume on skin gives a simple routine.
From Pernoire sample to bottle
If one holds up over several wearings, the bottle is the next step. Our vial is filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us; Pernoire is not involved and it is not a brand sample. The first perfume in full size is at Pernoire Anelo. The sample set page shows how to combine vials, and the FAQ covers filling and labels.
FAQ
Which Pernoire sample should I try first?
Anelo. It leads the Fragrantica popularity list for the house on our records by a wide margin, and its freshly sliced pineapple, pomelo and mandarin over dry amber, vetiver and patchouli is the clearest picture of the house.
What are the Anima and Odus lines?
Every Pernoire is an Extrait de Parfum in one of two lines: Anima at 25 per cent concentration and Odus at 30 per cent. Each sample is labelled with the perfume name, so you can keep the eight apart.
Why are the names so short?
Each name comes from an idea or key notes: Anelo from pineapple and pomelo, Yuma from yuzu and mint, Poka from popcorn and caramel. The notes, not the names, tell you what is inside.
