Which Sospiro sample to try first
Sospiro writes each perfume like a musical score, with names such as Vibrato and Basso. Eight samples in order of Parfumo ratings, and a map of the woods and ambers.
Sospiro is the Italian word for a sigh, and the house, founded in Italy in 2011 and run from Dubai since 2022, writes each perfume like a musical score. Top, heart and base stand for opening, development and resolution, and many names borrow from music: Vibrato, Basso, Contralto, Mezzo, Bel Canto. The signature flacon has a velvet finish and an engraved rose-gold cap, and the butterfly is the emblem. The house writes for both Europe and the Gulf. A score only makes sense when it is played, and a perfume when it is worn, so a Sospiro sample lets you hear several movements before you choose.
Sospiro: eight samples, ordered by ratings
We ordered the samples on our list by the number of ratings each perfume has collected on Parfumo, as gathered by NicheGems. Rating counts show how widely a perfume is discussed, not how good it is. Notes are given as the house records them.
Vibrato (2022, Christian Provenzano) is the fresh opener: grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, ginger and rosemary, then magnolia, Damascenia rose and blond wood, over vetiver, patchouli, Indian sandalwood, musk, crystal amber and tonka.

Il Padrino (2025, Nathalie Templer) is the warm one: dark rum, amaretto, blackcurrant and bergamot, then patchouli blossom, dry amber and sandalwood, over labdanum, vanilla wood and Siam benzoin.

Basso (2022, Christian Provenzano) is the deep register: a grapefruit opening onto mayflower, carnation and labdanum, with a long base of sandalwood, vetiver, pepper, nutmeg, oakmoss and cedar.

Erba Pura Magica (2022, Christian Provenzano) is a playful aria of jasmine, bergamot, lemon and fruit, over orris, amber, musk, caramel and cedarwood.

Dolce Melodia (2020, Christian Provenzano) is a soft floral refrain of mandarin, orange and saffron, rose, jasmine, gardenia, pear and blackcurrant, over sandalwood, vanilla and white musk.

Accento Viola (2022, Christian Provenzano) pairs pineapple and hyacinth with jasmine, iris and pink pepper, over musk, amber, vetiver, patchouli and vanilla.

Erba Leather opens on bergamot, lemon and passion fruit, with jasmine, sandalwood and leathery notes, over amber and vetiver. The house’s perfumers page credits Christian Provenzano.

Mezzo (2026, Salah Al Zarooni and Christian Provenzano) is the newest of the eight, with bergamot, mandarin, juniper and lavender, then apple, vetiver, ginger and magnolia, over tonka, moss, musk and patchouli. Vibranna and Bel Canto complete the ten.

The Sospiro note map
Vetiver runs through Vibrato, Basso, Accento Viola, Erba Leather and Mezzo, and sandalwood through Vibrato, Il Padrino, Basso, Dolce Melodia and Erba Leather. Amber sits in Il Padrino, Erba Pura Magica and Erba Leather, jasmine in four of the eight, and vanilla in Il Padrino, Dolce Melodia and Accento Viola. For the rum in Il Padrino, see rum samples. The amber samples guide places the house among others.
A first order of Vibrato, Il Padrino and Basso covers fresh, warm and deep, the three registers of the house. Add Dolce Melodia if you prefer the soft florals, which show the gentler side of the same pen. How to test perfume on skin gives a simple routine, and winter perfume samples suits Il Padrino and Basso.
From Sospiro sample to bottle
If one holds up over several wearings, the bottle is the next step. Our vial is filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us; Sospiro is not involved and it is not a brand sample. The first perfume in full size is at Sospiro Vibrato. The sample set page shows how to combine vials, and the FAQ covers filling and labels.
FAQ
Which Sospiro sample should I try first?
Vibrato. It has the most Parfumo ratings of the ten on our list, and the house credits it for its global reach. Grapefruit, rosemary and ginger open it and a polished warm base of vetiver, sandalwood and amber follows.
Why are the Sospiro perfumes named after music?
The house builds each perfume like a score, with top, heart and base as opening, development and resolution. Names such as Vibrato, Basso, Mezzo and Bel Canto follow that idea, so the name hints at the character rather than the notes.
Is Sospiro all oud?
No. The house says it uses oud as one instrument in the arrangement, never the headline. Of the eight samples we show, none lists oud among its recorded notes; the line leans on citrus, woods, amber and florals.
