Mandarin and berries
A sparkling, fruity start of mandarin and berries gives, in the words of FragranceGems, an immediate freshness and a subtle sweetness. The sweetness is the thing to watch, since berries can turn candied on some skins and stay light on others. Smell it again after a few minutes.

White flowers, creamy
In the heart the perfume becomes lush and floral with gardenia, ylang-ylang and tuberose. FragranceGems says these white flowers give it a creamy, exotic layer that melts into the skin. Flowers this rich are a matter of taste, so this is the stage to think about.

Coconut and sandalwood
The base is musk, coconut, dry wood and sandalwood. FragranceGems says the coconut and sandalwood give a soft, powdery warmth. Coconut next to white flowers can feel like a beach or like a body lotion; the sample shows which one it is for you.

How to test it
Wear it on a spring or summer day on clean skin, with a spray on the neck and another on the wrist, and again in the evening. Pay attention to the moment the white flowers take over from the fruit, and to the coconut at the end. A second try on a warmer day is worth it.

Does Lynked Forever smell of coconut?
Coconut is a named note in the base, next to musk, dry wood and sandalwood. FragranceGems describes the warmth as soft and powdery; how prominent the coconut is depends on your skin.
Is it a heavy white-flower perfume?
Gardenia, ylang-ylang and tuberose carry the heart, and FragranceGems calls them creamy and exotic. The mandarin and berries on top lighten the start, so heaviness differs from skin to skin.
Is it a women's or a unisex perfume?
FragranceGems tags it as unisex, even though its description leans feminine and floral. A decant lets you decide for yourself, whatever the label says.

About Afnan
Afnan Perfumes was founded in 2007 in the United Arab Emirates by Imran Fazlani, who still chairs the house, and says it is present in more than 120 countries. Its collections carry names such as Supremacy, Turathi, Lynked and 9AM/9PM, and its motto is that fragrance "should be expressive, memorable, and unafraid". Among the Afnan samples here are two Eau de Parfum, one from the Supremacy collection and one from Lynked.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
