Lemon and vanilla over Tahitian vetiver
Amaran Kafu is an Eau de Parfum that starts with Sicilian lemon, vanilla and bergamot, then moves through pink pepper and sandalwood to a base of musk, tonka bean, Tahitian vetiver, cedar and amber. Vanilla in the top is unusual enough that a note list settles little, so a 10 ml decant is a practical way to find out how the pairing behaves on you.

Vanilla at the front
Most citrus openings are dry. Here vanilla is listed beside the Sicilian lemon and the bergamot, which may soften the first minutes into something rounder than plain zest. Spray once and notice whether the lemon or the vanilla reaches you first.

Pink pepper and sandalwood
In the heart, pink pepper adds a light, dry spice while sandalwood brings a smooth, creamy wood. The two are meant to bridge the bright top and the heavier base, so this is the stretch where the perfume either holds together for you or does not.

A woody, earthy finish
The base gathers musk, tonka bean, Tahitian vetiver, cedar and amber. Vetiver and cedar keep it earthy and woody, tonka and amber add warmth, and musk smooths the edges. It is a long list, so give the drydown time on skin before you decide.

Wear Kafu on bare skin for a full working day or a weekday errand, and smell your wrist now and then without chasing it. Repeat on a cooler evening to see how the vetiver and amber come across after dark. Two different settings give a fairer picture than one.

FragranceGems lists vanilla in the opening beside lemon and bergamot. How sweet that feels depends on your skin, which a few wearings of the sample will show.
Is the 10 ml vial a travel size?
It is a 10 ml glass spray vial that fits in a pocket or bag. That makes it easy to wear on several days in different settings before you decide.
Which seasons does it suit?
