Fresh citrus over cedar, tonka and amber
Lucius is Fragrance Du Bois's first perfume aimed at men, a fresh woody Parfum from 2024 composed by Jordi Fernández. On top sit bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper, then cedarwood with orange flower, and tonka, vetiver and dry amber below. Fresh woody styles are easy to like on paper, which is why trying a decant first is a good check.

Citrus with a little heat
Bergamot and mandarin supply a clear, juicy opening and pink pepper adds a light, dry sparkle. It is the part of the perfume that reads as clean and daytime-friendly. Judge it as an introduction, because the pepper and citrus move aside fairly soon.

Cedar and orange flower
In the middle, cedarwood gives a dry, pencil-like structure and orange flower a soft, slightly honeyed floral note. The mix keeps freshness alive while adding body. It is the link between the bright start and the warmer finish.

Tonka, vetiver and dry amber
The base brings tonka for a smooth sweetness, vetiver for an earthy, grassy edge and dry amber for warmth without stickiness. The brand's choice of the word dry matters: this is amber that supports the wood rather than sweetening everything.
