Mykonos is a perfume line made by FragranceGems itself. A creamy, sweet tropical blend is a taste call, which makes a 2, 5 or 10 ml decant the easy way in before the 50 ml bottle.

Coconut and juicy fruit
Coconut, mandarin, pear and pineapple open Paradise. Mandarin and pineapple bring juice and a little tartness to the creamy coconut, and pear softens the whole. The first impression is sunny and sweet, so see whether coconut leads or the fruit does when you spray it.

Frangipani, jasmine and lily
The heart turns floral with frangipani, jasmine and lily. Frangipani adds a warm, creamy blossom that echoes the coconut, jasmine brings a fresh white-flower side, and lily keeps the bouquet airy. This is the stage that moves the perfume from fruit salad to something more rounded.

Amber, vanilla and woody notes
Amber, vanilla and woody notes make the base. Amber gives warmth, vanilla extends the creaminess, and the woody notes add a dry backbone so the sweetness has something to stand on. Check the finish on its own, long after the fruit has gone, because it decides whether the whole is for you.

Paradise suits a warm day, so try it in summer weather if you can, on clean skin and in a small amount to begin with. Smell your skin when the fruit has settled and again in the evening, as FragranceGems lists evening wear too. Wear it on two separate days and compare.

Mykonos is an Indonesian perfume house with a Mediterranean name. Its motto is "Born in Indonesia. Built for the world", the perfumes are produced in Indonesia and most of them are Extrait de Parfum, with a few Eau de Parfum. The range in Europe spans six scent families. A sample is the easiest way to find out which of those families suits your skin before you choose a 50 ml or 100 ml bottle.
