A decant is perfume poured over from the original bottle into a smaller one. For Solaris that means a glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml with our label on it. The vial closes tightly and fits in a pocket or bag, so you can test it wherever your day goes.

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Penhaligon's Solaris and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.
Why does this page list no notes?
No note list is on record with us for Penhaligon's Solaris, and we only print notes we can trace to a source. The sample lets you judge the perfume without a list.
How do I test Solaris properly?

Penhaligon's has 'British Perfumers, Established 1870' in its header and a royal warrant crest in its logo, and it sorts its perfumes like a library: Portraits with their figurine-topped bottles, Trade Routes, British Tales. The house itself shows only three key notes per fragrance, so descriptions stay brief and characters do the talking. Whether Lord George or Halfeti suits you is a question for your skin, and a 10 ml decant answers it.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
