Citrus and fig at the start
The top gathers mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot, with ginger for a little bite and fig to soften the edge. It is a bright, clean opening and the part that changes most from skin to skin, so give it a few minutes before you decide anything.

Mint, jasmine and grass in the heart
The heart lists mint, jasmine sambac, coconut, basil and grass. The mint and the green notes lead, while jasmine and a trace of coconut sit behind them as a soft, creamy layer. Notice which of these you recognise first, because that tells you what the perfume is really about for you.

A woody base made of modern materials
The base is built from ambroxan, Iso E Super, sandalwood, vetiver and cashmeran. These are smooth, clean materials, and together they give the drydown a dry, woody finish rather than a sweet one. This is the stage to judge with a full afternoon of wearing, not a quick sniff.

The house makes Oriental and Occidental perfumes, concentrated oils such as Dehn Al Oud, and bakhoor, and counts more than 190 branches across the Gulf. Among its perfumes here as a sample is Ahmed Al Maghribi Ignite Oud, a leather and wood scent with oud in its name, the kind of perfume you want to test on skin before anything else.
