Alezz Oud Hersh 2 is an Eau de Parfum that opens on lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange, moves through ginger, orange blossom and cinnamon, and rests on ambroxan, black tea, incense and guaiac wood. Three citrus oils up front
Lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange start the perfume, so the first minutes are clear, sunny and slightly sharp. Because three citrus notes sit side by side, the opening is more layered than a single squeezed fruit, and it is the part most likely to shift as soon as the perfume meets your skin.

Ginger and cinnamon in the heart
Nigerian ginger, Tunisian orange blossom and cinnamon form the middle. The ginger keeps a little bite, the cinnamon brings dry warmth, and the orange blossom softens both with a floral edge. It is a spiced heart rather than a sweet one, and it joins the bright top to the darker base.

Black tea, incense and guaiac wood
The base is built from ambroxan, Chinese black tea, incense and guaiac wood. Black tea gives a dry, slightly smoky tone, incense adds a resinous trail, and guaiac wood brings a charred, woody depth. Ambroxan holds it together with a clean, mineral glow.

How to test it
Apply it to a clean forearm in the morning, so you can follow the citrus as it gives way to the spice. Wear it again in the evening on a second day, when the incense and tea may come forward. Notes from both days beat a quick impression, and it helps to keep other scents out of the test.

The recorded opening has lemon, bergamot and orange, and they sit next to ginger and cinnamon rather than sugar. How sharp that feels is personal, so judge it on your own skin over a few days.

About Alezz Oud
Alezz Oud is an Arabian perfume label whose Hersh perfumes FragranceGems sells as samples, among them Alezz Oud Hersh 2 and Alezz Oud Hersh Lahab, both Eau de Parfum. The brand's own site gave us nothing to quote, so this page keeps to FragranceGems' product data. The two perfumes share a name and little else, one a citrus and incense scent with oud in the base, the other a green, peppery vetiver. Two samples, two days, and you know which of these two is yours.
