The opening is the loudest part and the shortest, so let it pass before deciding. Clothes hold a scent differently from skin, which makes a scarf or sleeve a useful second test.

What a decant is
The sample is made by hand: Amouage Epic 56 goes from the original bottle into a glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml, which we then label. Glass does not react with perfume, so what you smell is the perfume itself. Keep the vial away from heat and direct sunlight, as you would a full bottle.

Is this the same perfume as the full bottle?
Yes. The liquid is taken from the original bottle of Amouage Epic 56 and filled into a glass spray vial by FragranceGems. The vial carries our own label, so it is a decant and not a sample made by the brand.
Why does this page list no notes?

About Amouage
Amouage has composed perfume in the Sultanate of Oman since 1983, with frankincense, myrrh and resins never far from the formula. Its Eau de Parfums are dosed between 20 and 30% perfume oil and aged for several weeks, so even the fresher ones carry weight on skin and change a lot over a day. That makes the house a textbook case for sampling: a 10 ml decant gives you time to live with the drydown before you choose a bottle.

- Eau de Parfum dosed at 15 to 35% perfume oil on the brand's own scale, Extrait at 40 to 56%

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
