Mint against dark fruit
The top puts mint next to black currant, orange and lemon. The currant brings a darker, juicier note to what would otherwise be a purely cold start, and the two citrus fruits keep it bright. Smell it on skin rather than from the vial, because the mint behaves differently once it is warm.

A quiet tea heart
White tea, basil and coriander make up the heart. White tea is airy and gentle, basil adds a green, crisp touch and coriander a little dry spice. Together they calm the opening down into something that feels clean and easy to wear around other people.

Musk, ambergris and moss underneath
The base consists of musk, ambergris and moss. Moss gives an earthy, slightly damp-green quality, musk keeps the skin close and ambergris adds a salty-smooth depth. It is a soft landing rather than a sweet one, and it is what you will smell the longest on your wrist.

How to test it
Choose a warm, ordinary day and apply it to clean skin on the wrist or the inside of the elbow. Check it after a few minutes for the mint and currant, around midday for the tea and herbs, and in the evening for the musk and moss. A second day on a different spot confirms the pattern.

Black currant, orange and lemon appear in the top of Absolute Chill, next to the mint. All four are listed together in the first tier of the note list.
Is it a heavy or a light perfume?
It is listed as moderate in intensity and as a fresh, citrus-led perfume. Your own skin and the amount you apply will decide how it feels in practice.
Why choose a larger vial?
A 2 ml vial is enough to see the opening and the first stretch of the heart. The 5 and 10 ml sizes let you wear it on several separate days, which is how you find out about the base.
