Sugar with a spice line
The opening pairs sugar with cinnamon essence. The sweetness feels crisp rather than sticky, and the cinnamon keeps it from tasting plain. This stage passes quickly, so do not judge the whole perfume by the first few minutes.

Cocoa and coffee in the middle
Cocoa and coffee extract take the heart. Cocoa brings a dry, dark edge, coffee a roasted bite, and together they steer the sugar away from candy toward something bittersweet. This is the section the brand means by refined rather than childish.

Tonka, rum, cashmere wood
The base gathers tonka bean, vanilla absolute, rum, labdanum absolute and cashmere wood. Vanilla and tonka give soft depth, labdanum a resinous glow, rum a boozy warmth. Together they leave a rounded, warm trail that stays close to the skin.

What do I get in the sample?
A 10 ml decant of Sugar Addict, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labelled by us. It is not a brand sample and BORNTOSTANDOUT is not involved.
Is it too sweet?
It is sweet by design, but the brand describes the sweetness as refined. Cinnamon, cocoa, coffee and labdanum bring spice and bitterness, so a sample shows how dark and warm it feels on you.
Can I layer it?
The brand suggests wearing it alone or layering it over other perfumes. With a sample you can test one spray over something you already own and see if the combination works.

About BORNTOSTANDOUT
BORNTOSTANDOUT is a Seoul house launched in April 2022 under the motto 'We rebel against the standards'. The names are deliberately provocative, Dirty Rice, Fig Porn, Drunk Lovers, but the formulas are serious: each is composed by a credited outside perfumer and the Eau de Parfum line is dosed at 30 to 40% fragrance concentration. Perfumes this dense and this gourmand deserve a skin test before a full bottle, which is what our 10 ml decants are for.
