What does floral overdose mean?
It is the brand's phrase for a bouquet with a lot of body: lush, sensual and a little transgressive. The decant lets you decide whether that much floral character is your style.
Is the decant the same perfume as the bottle?
Yes. We pour it from the original bottle into a glass spray vial of 10 ml and label it. It is a decant and not an Ex Nihilo sample, and we are not affiliated with the brand.
When is it best to wear it?
Evenings and special occasions in spring and autumn are where it feels most natural. A sample allows you to test it in daylight as well, so you know where it works best for you.
Is it more fruity or more floral?
The opening has bergamot, lychee and peach, but the heart is firmly floral with Petalia™, orange blossom and jasmine. Most of the character comes from the flowers, with a light musky base.

Ex Nihilo was founded in Paris in 2013 by Sylvie Loday, Olivier Royère and Benoît Verdier, three people from the luxury world who hand emerging perfumers carte blanche and, the brand says, the finest raw materials without cost constraints. The perfumes sit in four universes, floral, ambery, woody and citrus, and lean on modern materials such as Ambrofix and Akigalawood. Their airy, abstract style is easy to misjudge on paper; a 10 ml decant on skin is the fairer test.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
