Salt air, white blossom and soft tuberose
Pacific Rock Flower is a floral aquatic by Goldfield & Banks, drawn from the sunlit coast of eastern Australia. Emilie Bouge composed it around the white blossoms of the coastal tea tree, with a sea-salt accord for the salt air, and lets cocowax, tuberose and coral flower rest on patchouli and Australian sandalwood. Salt beside cream is an unusual pairing, so a small trial comes first.

Tea tree and salt
The perfume opens on coastal tea tree with a sea-salt accord beside it. The tea tree is a native Australian shrub bearing small white blossoms, so the effect is cool, slightly green and mineral, more like wind off the water than a bouquet.

Cocowax meets tuberose
In the middle sit cocowax, tuberose and coral flower. Tuberose is rich and white, cocowax contributes soft, milky wax, and coral flower threads a lighter floral note through both. Cream and salt pull against each other, which keeps the flowers lively.

Patchouli and sandalwood
Under the flowers lie patchouli and Australian sandalwood. Patchouli brings damp earth, sandalwood a smooth cream, and together they stop the aquatic freshness from drifting off. The base gives the scent a warm, woody floor.

How to test it
Fresh and creamy at once, so test it in spring or summer, on a travel day or a relaxed afternoon. Apply it to the neck and the inside of the wrists, and give the salt a few minutes to meet the cream before judging. Wear it once on a dry day and once on a humid one to see how the salt behaves.
Who it is for
Gender-free, as the house frames its whole range. A sample is for wearers after a floral that carries salt and air over a sweet bouquet, plus a relaxed, slightly offbeat character. If classic white florals feel too heavy, this is a gentle way to find out.

Is it a sea perfume or a floral?
A floral first. The sea-salt accord supplies the salt-air effect, yet the lead roles go to tuberose, cocowax and coral flower, with patchouli and sandalwood below.
What does the cocowax do?
It brings a milky, waxy creaminess that rounds off the tuberose and takes the edge off the salt, so freshness and smoothness arrive together.
What concentration is the Eau de Parfum?
The brand states 25 % of essences and botanicals, which is high for an Eau de Parfum. The decant holds that same Eau de Parfum.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
