Spice, lavender and herb
Cardamom, lavender and cilantro open the scent with a green, aromatic, slightly cool air. Nothing here is sweet. If you associate iris with powder, this opening already shows that the perfume is aiming at something more mineral and herbal.

In the heart, iris meets mugwort and violet. Mugwort brings a bitter green shade, violet a soft powdery one, and iris sits between them, smooth and silky. The brand describes the heart as spreading warmth and sensuality, an unusual outcome from such cool ingredients.

What do I receive?
A 10 ml decant of Iris Palladium, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labelled by us. It is not a brand sample, and Les Eaux Primordiales is not involved.
Is it a powdery iris?
Violet gives a touch of powder, but mugwort, lavender and cilantro keep the whole thing green and aromatic. The brand calls the heart smooth and silky, so think soft rather than dusty.
Does it suit cold weather?
Autumn and winter are the natural fit, and the sandalwood and vanilla base is warm. A cool, aromatic opening also works on crisp days. Test it in the temperature you intend to wear it in.
What is meant by a flower and a precious metal?

Les Eaux Primordiales calls itself a manufacture de parfums and means it literally: Arnaud Poulain founded the house in 2015 near Arras in northern France, and everything from the first sketch to the bottling happens on its own wooded estate. The ranges borrow their names from science, Superfluide, Supercritique, Supermassive, and several materials, amber, oud, appear in more than one weight. Samples let you compare those weights before choosing.
