Lavender and herbs
Bergamot gives a quick citrus lift, but lavender and basil lead, adding an aromatic, slightly peppery green. The herbs bring energy from the first spray and set a cool, clean frame for the warmer notes to push against. It is brisk, not sweet, in the way the house means a city to feel.

Violet, flowers and coconut
Rose de Mai, jasmine, heliotrope and violet form a powdery, polished floral heart, and coconut adds creamy softness so it does not turn severe. This is the glamorous side of the idea, dressed up and a little sweet, yet still tied to the herbs by a sharp edge.

Tobacco and a warm finish
The base gives Manhattan its weight. Ginger, pink pepper, cinnamon and clove add heat, tobacco a smoky, dry leaf, and cedarwood, vetiver, pine and oakmoss dry wood and moss. Benzoin, vanilla, patchouli and musk smooth it into a warm, grand ending.

About Roja Parfums
Roja Parfums was founded in Mayfair, London, in 2011 by Roja Dove and calls itself a house of haute perfumery. The formulas are long: a single pyramid can run to twenty or thirty notes, from citrus and lavender through roses and jasmine to tobacco, resins and oud. Most perfumes exist as an Eau de Parfum and as a Parfum. Compositions this layered unfold slowly and differently on each skin, so a 10 ml decant worn over several days is the fair test.
