Mint and lavender on vanilla and tonka
Rayhaan Elixir is an Eau de Parfum for men built from very few recorded notes: mint and bergamot on top, lavender and benzoin in the heart, vanilla and tonka bean at the base. FragranceGems files it under fresh, gourmand and oriental. Mint over vanilla is a contrast that can go either way on skin, which is why a 10 ml decant is the sensible first step.

Mint and bergamot
Mint brings a cool, green freshness and bergamot a bright citrus edge. With only these two in the top, the opening should feel clean and simple. It is a short pairing, which makes it easy to follow. Spray once and see whether the mint feels cooling to you or too sharp.

Lavender and benzoin
Lavender adds an aromatic, slightly herbal softness and benzoin a warm, balsamic, faintly vanilla-like sweetness. This pairing links the cool top to the sweet base, so smell your skin again at this stage. Notice whether the herbal side or the sweet side leads.

Vanilla and tonka bean
The base is vanilla and tonka bean, a soft, creamy and sweet pair. After the mint and lavender, the sweetness should come as a contrast. Give it time on skin to see whether the contrast pleases you or feels disconnected.

Wear Elixir on a normal working day on clean skin and check back at intervals, noting when the mint recedes and the vanilla arrives. Try it again in the evening, which FragranceGems lists, and compare whether the sweet base sits better then.

FragranceGems tags Elixir for men, as moderate, in every season, for daily, evening and work wear. It suits someone who likes a fresh, aromatic start with a gourmand finish and a perfume that is easy to wear across a day. If you favour dry and woody, the base may feel too sweet.
Why try Rayhaan Elixir as a sample first
Mint, lavender and vanilla together can feel clean and comforting or oddly divided, and a three-line pyramid will not tell you which. Both. Mint and bergamot give the freshness, vanilla and tonka bean the sweetness, and the sample shows how the two sides meet on your skin.
Does lavender make it old-fashioned?
Lavender is a classic aromatic, but its effect depends on the other notes. Here it sits between mint and vanilla, so judge it in that context on skin.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
