Ember and sand
The top is dry and warm and not fresh. Bergamot gives a brief citrus lift, fir adds a cool, resinous needle-green note, and ember and sand bring the feel of heat and a low-burning fire. The scene is set before any flower appears.

Rose with pepper
Rose is the centre, held mellow by the earthy depth of patchouli, while black pepper adds a dry, tingling spice so the rose does not turn sweet or soapy. For a rose perfume the heart is dark and dry, which suits the night in the desert.

Oudh and honey
The base brings the weight. Oudh gives a dark, woody and resinous depth, amber and sandalwood add warmth and smoothness, and musk and honey soften it to something rounded and slightly sweet. The honey keeps the oudh from feeling stern.

Is the oud strong in Gold Rose Oudh?
Oudh sits at the base with amber, sandalwood, musk and honey, and the honey softens it. How strongly it comes across depends on your skin, which is what the sample is for.
Do I need to like rose?
It helps, as rose is the centre, but it is mellow and held in check by patchouli and black pepper. The rose is dark and dry here rather than sweet.

About Tiziana Terenzi
Tiziana Terenzi grew out of a family candle workshop, Cereria Terenzi in Cattolica, whose packaging prints 'Since 1968'. The perfumes are extraits de parfum, and each is told as a memory of the siblings Tiziana and Paolo Terenzi: a night under the stars, a sailing trip, a bonfire. The pyramids are long and the stories personal, so it is hard to guess from a description which one will suit you. Wearing a 10 ml decant for a few days is the simpler way.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
