Dominus from Bujairami is built on a bright fruit opening of pineapple, pomelo and mandarin, a heart of mango and ginger, and a base of amber and vetiver. Only seven notes are recorded, so the structure is easy to follow, but how sweet or how dry it ends up depends on your skin. A 10 ml decant is a low-risk way to find out.

Pineapple, pomelo and mandarin
The recorded top pairs pineapple with pomelo and mandarin. Pineapple brings a rich, sweet fruitiness, while pomelo and mandarin add a slightly bitter, juicy citrus side. Spend the first minutes noting how sweet it smells on you, since that balance decides how fresh the whole scent feels.

Mango and ginger
In the heart, mango keeps the tropical fruit going and ginger adds a clean, spicy lift. Together they carry the scent from the opening toward the base. This is the stage where you can tell whether the fruit is sunny and light or too ripe for your taste.

The base is just two notes, amber and vetiver. Amber supplies warmth and a little resin, vetiver supplies a dry, earthy edge. Because the base is so simple, what remains on your skin in the evening is easy to judge: either you like that dry, warm finish after a fruity start, or you do not.

Apply the decant to clean skin on a day with some sun if you can, because FragranceGems tags it for spring, summer, work and sport. Smell it at the start, again after the fruit has settled, and again late in the day. Compare how it behaves in a warm room and outdoors.

For people who like fruity-citrus perfumes with a woody backbone, and who want something that suits daytime, the office or a sporty day. If you find pineapple too sweet in perfume, the sample will show quickly whether the dry base is enough to balance it for you.

What do I get with the Dominus sample?
You receive 10 ml of Dominus in a glass spray vial, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us. This vial is not an official brand sample, and Bujairami had nothing to do with the filling.
Is Dominus very sweet?
Pineapple and mango are the sweet notes, but pomelo, mandarin, ginger and vetiver pull the other way. How the balance falls on your skin is exactly what a sample is meant to show.
Is it suitable for sport or warm days?
FragranceGems tags it for sport, daily wear, spring and summer. Wearing the decant in warm weather is the clearest way to see if the fruit stays fresh for you.
