Lemon, bergamot, mint
The opening is described as fresh and clear. Lemon and bergamot bring the bright citrus, mint adds a cooling lift. Citrus and mint fade first, so smell your wrist right after applying it and then again after a few minutes to catch the handover.

Ginger, jasmine, nutmeg
In the heart, ginger, jasmine and nutmeg follow. FragranceGems says they give the opening a spicy, floral depth. Ginger is warm and a little sharp, jasmine soft and white, nutmeg dry and warm, so the middle is where the character of the scent forms.

Amber, sandalwood, cedarwood, leather, resins
The base joins amber, sandalwood, cedarwood, leather and resins. This is the elegant, warm closing of the pyramid. Leather and resins can feel dark and smoky or smooth and polished depending on the wearer, so give the base time before you decide.

How to test it
Try it on clean skin in spring or autumn weather, when neither heat nor cold distorts the citrus or the resin. Wear it first on a work day and then on an evening out, and see whether the leather and amber feel formal or relaxed. Smell your wrist at different moments, not only at the start.

For people who like a fresh opening that grows into amber and leather, and want one perfume for the office, daily wear and the evening. It is tagged for men. If you have only worn light citrus colognes, the sample is a gentle way to see whether you want a darker base.
Why try Bujairami Sovereign as a sample first
Leather and resin notes vary strongly from skin to skin, and the same base can read as refined on one wrist and heavy on another. A 2, 5 or 10 ml decant lets you meet it several times. We pour the decant from the original bottle ourselves and label the vial, and Bujairami plays no part in it.
